Durability Test Rig SPECIAL!

Because of the magnitude of this design milestone in the Alpha Leash’s development we are doing a blog/video release special. :-D

Testing of the Alpha Leash is paramount to ensuring that we deliver a high-quality product. To this end we have designed, built and are now using a test rig that will put the leash through, not only the maximum forces that the real world will throw at it, but also the repeated brake applies that the leash will need to endure as well.

I also, because of the complexity and difficultly of this build, want to quickly thank the various suppliers who helped provide support and components quickly and efficiently, even during the pandemic, and I want to say several specific thank you’s to;

Clear Path for supplying an easy to use, easy to control and very powerful motor, Labview who’s technical support was amazing, Mauricio you know who you are, and who’s hardware and software was key in the creation of the rig, and, last but not least, thanks to my, Dad who created the electrical circuitry needed for the system to come together!
