Design Refinement

The test rig worked great, BUT it also gave me a ton of more work. :-(

With some initial testing complete there are several key design areas regarding the brake system that need to be improved. So I’ve been back at the drawing board…

Ergonomics

I am also now working through the final prototyping using the ergonomic analysis report we got back in December. Using foam I can quickly and easily sculpt various shapes and curves and try them before investing a lot of time designing the casings in CAD and then 3D printing them.

With a couple more changes we should be good to go with a comfortable, easy to use handle.

Test Leashes

These are now in the process of being pulled back. With the test rig data coming back we will be re-vamping them with the latest brake system improvements and then will be sent back out to the field for further real life testing and feedback.
