Durability Test Rig Design Completed

Today I just finalized the durability test rig for the Alpha Leash. Orders have been placed and the components to build the machine are on their way!

This is not only an important financial investment for us, but more importantly is is a major milestone in the development of the design.

To ensure that the Alpha Leash’s design can handle years of use and enjoyment we need to validate that the design is durable over the long term. And the best way to do that is to cycle a physical part through thousands of brake applications just like you will when you own an Alpha Leash! :-D

This test rig does that by using a powerful servo motor that can simulate a 150 lb dog running at over 15 mph! The entire system will be computer controlled and will track the performance of the brake for every brake apply giving us lots of data to confirm the Leash’s long term performance.
